Year in Review: 2024

Recapping a Fun, Innovative Year at Dennis Smith Entertainment

Visualizing and Creating a Bolder Vision for Custom Entertainment

2024 is now officially behind us and what a year it was! We founded Dennis Smith Entertainment two years ago, to elevate private entertainment with custom features and new inspirations and support and advance a community of artists and musical entertainment connoisseurs.  This last year, we were thrilled to bring many creative visions to life thanks to the tireless efforts of our extended community of performers, musicians, choreographers, producers and event planners.

Our Portfolio Continues to Grow

We added two new acts to our portfolio in 2024: Funk Cake and Q The Band. Funk Cake, a horn group with Cajun flair packing big-band energy, is the brainchild of virtuoso trumpeter Alex Rodiek, who also serves as a member of nationally renowned Party on the Moon®. Q The Band offers an elegant string-driven experience and is led by Ion Zanca, the creative visionary behind the nationally acclaimed act Dallas String Quartet. These two high-caliber acts are also available to co-perform to amp up sound and performance quality.

Creating Captivating Entertainment Fusions

Setting ourselves apart as a trailblazer of live entertainment is a founding goal of Dennis Smith Entertainment. In 2024, we accomplished this by designing and producing “musical fusion” events, combining artists, musical genres and performance components.  This year, we helped our friends at the St. Regis in Atlanta, GA celebrate their 15th-year anniversary with Club Jam, Funk Cake, and Jessie’s Girls®.  The end result was a treasure trove of happy guests and rave reviews, including from the amazing event planners who made this night a smashing success.

Growing our Community of Artists

Producing a work of art at the highest level of quality is challenging – but the power of art and music in uniting communities and creating goodwill is why we do what we do. Party on the Moon® traveled to Kingsport, Tennessee in February to perform for the Annual Kingsport Chamber Dinner, an event we’ve performed at for more than a decade. This time, we shared the stage with multiple musical troupes from a Kingsport high school. Later in the year, we were part of a community fundraising event at the Kaleideum Children’s Museum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a cutting-edge STEM museum recently opened in the heart of town. Musicians from UNC School of the Arts joined Party on the Moon® and together we entertained guests throughout this innovative space.

Looking Into the New Year

Thank you to all of our friends, colleagues, and clients who made 2024 a huge success. We’re thrilled to start 2025 with the experiences and knowledge we gained last year and new inspiration and creative vision to continue to innovate ahead. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels to see all the amazing ways we will wow and excite event guests across the country!
