Band Leader, Funk Cake
Alex Rodiek is a musician, actor, teacher and trumpeter based in Atlanta, Georgia with decades of experience under his shiny jacket. In addition to teaching at the college level and performing in premium party band, Party on the Moon®, Alex created the horns troupe Funk Cake in 2016 to bring jazzy energy to any event.
Alex began playing trumpet in middle school and quickly fell in love with the instrument, going on to receive a Master's degree in music from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Funk Cake, which he created in 2016, represents his vision of blending highly-skilled brass instrumentalists with a classic rock sound. Funk Cake has become a local favorite at many Atlanta music spots, and regularly performs at private events, alone and with other Dennis Smith Entertainment acts.
